Event background
A conference on the Future of work, organised by the Irish Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation (DJEI), in the context of the ILO Centenary Initiative of the same name, will be held at Dublin Castle on 12 May 2017.
Eurofound enjoys close cooperation both with the ILO and with the government and social partners in Ireland, our host country. The themes addressed in the ILO’s Future of work initiative overlap substantially with Eurofound's own fields of research – living and working conditions, employment and industrial relations – in which we aim to support policymakers and social actors by providing timely, scientifically sound, unbiased and policy-relevant research findings.
The conference will focus on the following themes:
How technology is disrupting the world of work
Overview of the existing legal framework
Digitalisation and work
Humans as a service
David Foden, Adviser - Industrial relations will present Eurofound insight on the Future of work.
More information and a conference programme are available on the DJEI website.
