The Congress on Family Carers will be organised by the CNSA (French National Solidarity Fund for Autonomy) in Paris from 5 to 6 November 2014.
The CNSA is responsible for providing financial support and funding for support services to people who have lost their independence. Some people need help with everyday activities such as eating, dressing, bathing. This loss of independence may be the effect of a disability (mental or psychical) or of ageing. The loss of independence is not a disease but may be the consequence of one. Different solutions can help provide independence, such as accommodation, technology and practical help.
Robert Anderson, Head of the Living Conditions and Quality of Life Unit, will represent Eurofound at the conference.
