Towards a strong Social Europe in the aftermath of the COVID-19 crisis: reducing disparities and addressing distributional impacts - ESDE 2021

The European Commission will present the main findings of the Employment and Social Developments in Europe (ESDE) 2021 report, at a hybrid conference on Tuesday 12 October 2021.

The report, titled 'Towards a strong Social Europe in the aftermath of the COVID-19 crisis: reducing disparities and addressing distributional impacts', shows that the social impacts of the COVID-19 crisis have been uneven and diverse across social groups and regions.

Eurofound Executive Director, Ivailo Kalfin, will join Heinz Koller, Regional Director of the International Labour Organization, Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia, Michele Raitano, Full Professor of Economic Policy, Sapienza University of Rome and Alva Finn, Secretary-General, Social Platform, to discuss the socioeconomic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic on people, groups, occupations and sectors.
