Sectors in focus in the twin transition: Information technology sector

The ICT sector is critical for the testing and rolling out of new technologies such as artificial intelligence. It also underpins processes of digitalisation that are occurring across all sectors. While fast-growing ICT still accounts for only around one in twenty jobs in the EU. This report will present an overview of employment and working conditions trends for ICT specialists. It will also address the challenges that the sector is facing and which may be impeding its required growth, notably shortages of skilled labour.
