About health and safety strategy
On 21 February 2007, the Commission published a communication setting out its proposals for a new European occupational health and safety strategy for the period 2007-2012. The strategy, Improving quality and productivity at work: Community strategy 2007-2012 on health and safety at work, outlines the agenda for European policy development in this field up to 2012. Its main aim is a 25% reduction in accidents at work by 2012.
