Surveys and data
Eurofound provides a range of datasets that support its research into living and working conditions across Europe. These include large-scale surveys conducted in all EU Member States, as well as specialised databases covering topics like restructuring, national policy measures and the platform economy. In addition, Eurofound publishes data visualisations and datasets alongside its research reports, offering access to underlying data that supports its findings.

Eurofound surveys are regular pan-European studies that gather comparative data on living and working conditions across the European Union.
Survey
Since its launch in 2020, Eurofound's unique Living and Working in the EU e-survey has provided an overview of the ever-changing developments in living and working since the onset of the pandemic, through the recovery measures and during a time of constant change.
Eurofound provides specialised data collections in the form of custom databases that track developments in selected areas of living and working conditions.
European Restructuring Monitor
Since 2002, the European Restructuring Monitor (ERM) has been monitoring the employment impact of large-scale restructuring events in Europe and covers the 27 EU Member States plus Norway. Over the years, the monitoring has been expanded from only collecting company restructuring cases to a compilation of datasets and tools that can help to understand restructuring in Europe.
EU PolicyWatch
Eurofound's EU PolicyWatch collates information on the responses of government and social partners to the COVID-19 crisis, the war in Ukraine, rising inflation, as well as gathering examples of company practices aimed at mitigating the social and economic impacts.
Convergence monitoring hub
This online resource summarises Eurofound's research on convergence, explains the different dimensions of convergence and provides access to the convergEU app, allowing researchers to perform their own analysis on convergence.
European Child Guarantee monitor
The data and analysis presented here cover trends and disparities in children's access to early childhood education and care, education, healthcare, nutrition and housing. This is done using a convergence analysis, which tracks whether Member States are improving in respect of specific performance indicators and whether disparities between them are expanding or narrowing. The analysis includes those indicators that are part of the common monitoring framework to assess progress with implementation of the European Child Guarantee in which it is feasible to carry out convergence analysis.
European Jobs Monitor
The European Jobs Monitor (EJM) tracks structural change in European labour markets. It analyses shifts in the employment structure in the EU in terms of occupation and sector and gives a qualitative assessment of these shifts using various proxies of job quality – wages, skill levels, etc. Is employment growing relatively fastest in well-paid, mid-paid or high-paid jobs?
Platform work repository
Platforms are digital networks that coordinate transactions, both commercial, such as the provision of goods and services for payment, and non-commercial, such as volunteering activities or social media. The activity of platforms collectively is typically referred to as the platform economy. This economy began to emerge in Europe in the mid-2000s, driven by technological, economic and societal developments and is rapidly expanding in scale and scope. Out of it has emerged a new business model and a new form of employment – platform work, defined as the matching of supply and demand for paid labour through an online platform.
Database on minimum wages for low-paid workers in collective agreements
The database was developed and is maintained by Eurofound. It covers collective agreement texts from 2015 to 2025 related to a selection of low-paid sectors from all 27 EU Member States, except for Poland where data is only available until 2022. In summer 2025 the database contains coded minimum wage rates from 678 series of collective agreement texts (and where available, also the highest rates in these agreements were coded).
European housing dashboard
This interactive housing dashboard brings together key indicators on housing affordability, access to and quality of housing across European countries. Using the different filters, indicators and visualisations, the dashboard creates an overview of the current housing crisis.
Multidimensional Progress Index (MPI)
Eurofound’s Multidimensional Progress Index (MPI) displays a composite indicator summarising the six dimensions of social, economic, digital, and environmental indicators. Each dimension is formed by a subdimension and each subdimension includes several indicators. Indicators are sourced from Eurofound’s surveys, Eurostat and the European Environment Agency (EEA).
