Local partnership: a successful strategy for social cohesion? (Summary)

The persistence and complexity of the social economic problems in the European Union which have come to be termed 'social exclusion', have given rise to a range of new approaches and strategies to combat them. This report presents the results of a European research project to analyse in depth one specific approach - the local partnership - its structures, working methods and results. The research outlines implications for action directly relevant to the community sector and soical partners as well as governments and the European Union.
