Rappreżentanza tal-impjegati

Ir-rappreżentanza tal-impjegati tista 'tiġi definita bħala d-dritt tal-impjegati li jfittxu union jew individwu biex jirrappreżentahom għall-iskop ta' negozjar mal-maniġment dwar kwistjonijiet bħal pagi, sigħat, benefiċċji u kundizzjonijiet tax-xogħol. Fuq il-post tax-xogħol, il-ħaddiema jistgħu jkunu rappreżentati mit-trejdjunjins u permezz ta' kunsilli tax-xogħol – jew strutturi simili eletti mill-impjegati kollha. Il-liġi tal-UE stabbilixxiet id-drittijiet u l-obbligi għall-impjegati u r-rappreżentanti tagħhom biex jiġu infurmati u kkonsultati permezz ta' sett ta' direttivi li jipprovdu għall-informazzjoni u l-konsultazzjoni tal-ħaddiema, kemm fil-livell nazzjonali kif ukoll f'dak internazzjonali.

Measuring key dimensions of industrial relations and industrial democracy

Previous Eurofound research developed three complementary tools to examine the dynamics of industrial relations and compare how national industrial relations systems are faring in terms of quality and change over time. These tools are a dashboard of indicators; an index to measure country performance in industrial relations as a whole, four key dimensions and subdimensions; and a typology of industrial relations systems based on performance in industrial democracy and relevant characteristics of industrial relations systems. This report builds on this previous research and has three main objectives: to revisit and update the index of each of the four key dimensions for 2018–2021 based on new data and indicators; to analyse convergence trends in the key dimension industrial democracy from 2008 to 2021 across national industrial relations systems; and to update the typology of industrial relations systems to contribute to the cross-country analysis of relevant patterns of change from 2008 to 2021, particularly in relation to collective bargaining.

Challenges and solutions: Case studies on European Works Councils

This working paper investigates the practical implementation of the European Works Council (EWC) Directive at company level. It explores the challenges faced by existing EWCs and provides examples of solutions identified and remaining issues from the point of view of both workers and management. In addition, the paper looks at how EWCs meet the requirements of the EWC Directive in terms of establishing processes of information and consultation. Using case studies, it also examines the extent to which such effective collaboration has gone beyond the EWC Directive’s requirements to establish joint work on other issues of common concern.

Christine Aumayr-Pintar hija maniġer anzjan tar-riċerka fl-unità tal-Ħajja tax-Xogħol fil-Eurofound. Hija tikkoordina r-riċerka tal-Eurofound dwar id-djalogu soċjali u r-relazzjonijiet industrijali u tissorvelja n-Netwerk tal-Korrispondenti tal-Eurofound (NEC). L-għarfien espert primarju tagħha fir-riċerka – avviċinat minn perspettiva komparattiva madwar l-UE – jiffoka fuq il-pagi minimi, il-paga nnegozjata b'mod kollettiv u t-trasparenza tal-pagi bejn is-sessi. Qabel ma ngħaqdet mal-Eurofound fl-2009, hija kienet riċerkatriċi tas-swieq tax-xogħol u tal-ekonomija reġjonali f'Joanneum Research fl-Awstrija. Hija kisbet Master's degree fl-Ekonomija u PhD fix-Xjenza Soċjali/Ekonomija wara li studjat l-ekonomija fi Graz, Vjenna u Jönköping.

Qabel ma ngħaqad mal-Eurofound fl-2010, huwa ħadem fl-Istitut Olandiż għar-Riċerka Soċjali (SCP). Gijs qatta 'sena 'l bogħod fl-2016, jaħdem fiċ-Ċentru ta' Riċerka Pew f'Washington, DC. Huwa għandu Masters fis-Soċjoloġija mill-Università ta 'Radboud Nijmegen u PhD fix-Xjenza Soċjali mill-Università ta' Utrecht.
