Life satisfaction in an enlarged Europe (report)

Examining quality of life in 28 European countries, including the acceding and candidate countries as well as the current Member States of the EU, this report explores how people across Europe define quality of life. It looks at how they evaluate their lives and certain living conditions, what would increase their satisfaction, and how these evaluations can be explained by personal resources and/or the individual’s position in the social structure. The analysis is based on data from the European Commission’s Eurobarometer survey carried out in the acceding and candidate countries in Spring 2002 and standard EU 15 Eurobarometers.
