Industrial relations in agriculture (Infosheet)

The agriculture sector, which employs around 5% of the EU workforce, is currently undergoing major structural changes, triggered by recent reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and EU enlargement in 2004. Agriculture is a sector where small enterprises and selfemployment are prevalent, with a relatively small number of employees in most cases.
