Event background

Strategic trends in multinationals' policies on work-life balance and their implications for Human Resource law, 28 November 2011, Dublin, Ireland

_Venue: Eurofound, Raymond-Pierre Bodin conference centre, Dublin
_

Eurofound is organising in collaboration with the International Bar Association - Global Employment Institute (IBA-GEI*) a workshop on work -life balance, which will take place in Eurofound conference centre in Dublin on 28 November 2011.

Objectives

IBA-GEI recently launched a survey to senior HR managers in more than 200 multinationals across 22 countries. One of the conclusions of the survey is that 'the issue of work-life balance is the most important single matter for multinationals in the next decade.' As a follow-up to these findings, IBA-GEI is running two questionnaires on work-life balance, one for HR leaders of various multinational organisations and another one for lawyers.

Participants in the workshop and representatives from IBA-GEI will analyse and discuss the results of these questionnaires together with Eurofound, providing them with different insights about the topic in question.

Content

The preliminary 'Work-life balance report' (GEI) will be presented as well as Eurofound findings on work-life balance based on the the European company surveys (ECS) and European working conditions surveys (EWCS).

A programme is available.

(*) IBA GEI was formed in early 2010 for the purpose of developing a global and strategic approach to the main legal issues in the human resources and human capital fields for multinationals and worldwide institutions. IBA-GEI is one of the committees of the International Bar Association (IBA), established in 1947, which is the world's leading organisation of international legal practitioners, bar associations and law societies with more than 40,000 individual lawyers and 197 bar associations and law societies spanning all continents.
