Usklajevanje poklicnega iz zasebnega življenja je stanje ravnovesja med poklicnim in zasebnim življenjem posameznika. Omogočanje boljšega usklajevanja poklicnega in zasebnega življenja v celotnem življenjskem ciklu je že več let cilj politike EU, saj je ključno za zagotavljanje trajnosti dela za vse.

EU context

Komisija je 26. aprila 2017 predložila sveženj evropskega stebra socialnih pravic. To vključuje pobudo za podpiranje usklajevanja poklicnega in zasebnega življenja staršev in oskrbovalcev. Pobuda je namenjena obravnavi premajhne zastopanosti žensk na trgu dela, v njej pa so opisani tudi številni novi in izboljšani minimalni standardi za starševski in očetovski dopust ter dopust za oskrbo.

Zbiranje podatkov

Eurofoundove evropske raziskave o kakovosti življenja (EQLS) omogočajo primerjavo med državami glede usklajevanja poklicnega in zasebnega življenja, prožnih ureditev delovnega časa in zagotavljanja kakovostnih storitev oskrbe. Evropske raziskave podjetij (ECS) zagotavljajo podatke o tem, zakaj in kako podjetja uporabljajo različne ureditve delovnega časa. V evropskih raziskavah o delovnih razmerah (EWCS) se obravnavajo organizacija delovnega časa v EU in z njo povezana vprašanja, vključno s prožnimi ureditvami, preferencami glede delovnega časa ter usklajevanjem poklicnega in zasebnega življenja.

Evropski observatorij poklicnega življenja (EurWORK) zagotavlja informacije o delovnih razmerah in trajnostnemu delu, vključno z zbirko podatkov o plačah, delovnem času in kolektivnih sporih. Eurofound je tudi ocenil gospodarske in socialne stroške razlik med spoloma pri zaposlovanju ter lahko ponudi informacije o ustvarjanju delovnih mest na področju storitev oskrbe.

Ker se povprečno število delovnih ur stalno zmanjšuje, je v publikaciji obravnavano vprašanje, ali je usklajevanje poklicnega in zasebnega življenja še vedno pomembno. Kako lahko pomaga direktiva o delovnem času in kakšno vlogo imajo politike prožnega delovnega časa? Kakšne posebne oblike pomoči so potrebne za tiste, ki morajo skrbeti za otroke ali odrasle? Usklajevanje poklicnega in zasebnega življenja je povezano z drugimi vidiki življenja, vključno s potrebo po visokokakovostnem otroškem varstvu, odpravljanjem razlik med spoloma pri zaposlovanju in zagotavljanjem možnosti za starejše delavce, ki ne morejo več opravljati dela za polni delovni čas.
