Employment options of the future: Family and career

This report presents results from the Employment Options Survey with a special focus on the relationship between private living circumstances and labour market participation. Gender, age, marital status and children do have an influence on employment rates as well as on working conditions. The analyses in this report concentrate on the working time aspect and on the place of work. The question of how to share paid work and domestic duties among both partners within a family is relevant for more than two thirds of the working population in Europe.
