7th meeting of the CLIP Network, 21-23 September 2009, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Objectives
This 7th meeting of the CLIP Network (Network of European Cities for Local Integration Policies for Migrants) will examine the results of the third CLIP module on local policies to improve intercultural relations of migrants, with specific focus on Muslim communities.
The conference will cover:
Presentation and discussion of the draft comparative overview report and of the case studies
A systematic overview of areas of local policy intervention on intercultural relations and dialogue that could lead to formulation of local policy guidelines
Discussion of innovative policy initiatives of local authorities based on the experiences of CLIP (and other) cities
Discussion of the future role of intercultural policies in the context of rapidly changing economic, social and political conditions resulting from the economic downturn.

Participants
Bi-annual meetings bring together all CLIP cities, the research group, the international organisations supporting CLIP, and additional researchers/organisations relevant to the specific module.
