Ivailo Kalfin ingħaqad mal-Eurofound bħala Direttur Eżekuttiv fl-1 ta' Ġunju 2021. L-għarfien espert tas-Sur Kalfin ikopri firxa ta' oqsma, mid-dinamika tas-suq tax-xogħol u l-politika soċjali għal xejriet politiċi globali, l-UE u l-baġit, kif ukoll it-trasformazzjoni diġitali. Huwa ddeskriva ħames prijoritajiet ewlenin għar-rwol tiegħu fil-Eurofound: l-appoġġ għall-integrazzjoni tat-tranżizzjonijiet ekoloġiċi u diġitali tal-Ewropa; jikkumplimenta l-implimentazzjoni tal-Pjan ta' Azzjoni tal-Pilastru Ewropew tad-Drittijiet Soċjali b'riċerka bbażata fuq l-evidenza; aktar kooperazzjoni ma' organizzazzjonijiet internazzjonali u msieħba esterni u sensibilizzazzjoni akbar mal-pajjiżi tal-Politika Ewropea tal-Viċinat; appoġġ għat-tisħiħ u l-espansjoni tal-kapaċità tal-imsieħba soċjali fi ħdan il-mandat tal-Aġenzija; iż-żieda fil-profil tal-Eurofound fost il-partijiet interessati ewlenin.

2022 in review
The dawn of 2022 brought muted optimism to a Europe beginning to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the progress of vaccination programmes worldwide brought hope. Government and EU support during the pandemic had kept unemployment at bay, averting the widescale collapse of businesses. In step with the EU’s plans for the year, Eurofound’s focus was firmly on a post-pandemic Europe: the recovery and the twin transition to a green and digital economy. All this changed with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the start of a war of aggression. The EU and its institutions were compelled to respond rapidly.

Europe Day: Europe’s future hangs in the balance
Today is Europe Day, and one hundred young people from Ireland and Ukraine will be marking the event at Eurofound, in peaceful south Dublin. Europe Day has traditionally been seen as a celebration of peace and unity in Europe, but, unfortunately, it must be marked differently this year. Europe Day 2022 must rather reaffirm the values of Europe: human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, rule of law and human rights. These values are now being tested daily and must be rigorously defended for the future of Europe and the future of our young people.

Recovery and resilience in the EU – Back to the future? Some reflections on Foundation Forum 2022

We need to study and understand the blow Europe’s youth have suffered from the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to adjust recovery and resilience measures to their needs: without prioritising young people in the present, we have little hope for the future.

Maria Jepsen hija d-Deputat Direttur tal-Eurofound, maħtura fl-1 ta' Novembru 2019. Hija tikkoordina l-iżvilupp tal-programm tal-Aġenzija. Qabel dan, kienet Direttur tad-dipartiment tar-riċerka fl-Istitut Ewropew tat-Trejdjunjins (ETUI), u assistent professur u riċerkatur fl-Università Ħielsa ta' Brussell (ULB). Bħalissa hija wkoll professur assoċjat fl-ekonomija tax-xogħol fl-ULB u lettur estern fil-Kulleġġ tal-Ewropa fi Bruges, il-Belġju. L-interessi ewlenin tar-riċerka tagħha jinkludu l-istudji dwar is-sessi, l-impatt tal-istati soċjali fuq il-provvista tax-xogħol, il-pagi u l-kundizzjonijiet tax-xogħol, u l-iżvilupp tad-dimensjoni soċjali Ewropea. Is-Sinjura Jepsen kienet membru ta' diversi kumitati, kunsilli u bordijiet konsultattivi fil-livell nazzjonali u internazzjonali dwar kwistjonijiet ta' impjiegi, soċjali, sessu u riċerka. Hija serviet ukoll bħala koordinatriċi fil-kumitat konsultattiv tripartitiku tal-Kummissjoni Ewropea dwar is-saħħa u s-sigurtà fuq il-post tax-xogħol. Hija għandha PhD fl-Ekonomija u Master's degree fl-Ekonometrija mill-Università Ħielsa ta' Brussell (ULB).

Anna Ludwinek hija l-Maniġer ta' Kollegament fl-Uffiċċju ta' Kollegament ta' Brussell tal-Eurofound, li ngħaqdet miegħu fl-2019. Ir-responsabbiltajiet tagħha jiffukaw primarjament fuq il-koordinazzjoni tal-ħidma tal-uffiċċju ta' Brussell, inkluża r-relazzjoni mal-Kummissjoni Ewropea, il-Parlament Ewropew, il-Kunsill u l-gruppi ta' riflessjoni. Qabel dan, Anna kienet maniġer tar-riċerka fl-unità tal-Politiki Soċjali b'responsabbiltà għall-ħidma fuq il-mobilità soċjali interġenerazzjonali u l-opportunitajiet indaqs, l-inugwaljanzi fost iż-żgħażagħ u l-aċċess għall-benefiċċji soċjali.
