Data visualisation

Increase in national minimum wages 1 January 2025 to 1 January 2026

and preliminary estimates of inflation, December 2024 to December 2025, EU Member States (%)

Notes: The measure of inflation is based on Eurostat’s Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) and the annual rate of change as at December 2025. National minimum wages are expressed in national currencies and in the frequency as defined by law. The monthly rates are the basic rates and are not converted for those Member States where more than 12 monthly payments are made per year (Greece, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain). The increase for Cyprus is over two years; Belgium has stipulated reference values for the public sector only; in Estonia and Romania, a final decision had yet to be made at the time of writing.
