Event background

This event takes place in the context of Eurofound’s ongoing efforts with key stakeholders at the national level to ensure widespread dissemination and dialogue on our research findings.

Event overview

According to the latest EWCS, 65% of French workers believe that they will be able to continue working until 60 years of age. Quality jobs contribute to higher labour force participation, better well-being and stronger economic performance. They are also a key component in making work sustainable over the longer term by helping workers remain motivated and engaged throughout their careers.

This event will explore, in particular, how job quality is linked to labour shortages, while comparing France’s position with that of other EU Member States, drawing on new findings from Eurofound’s European Working Conditions Survey. It will address the question of how the attractiveness of specific sectors and occupations affected by labour shortages can be increased. This includes sectors and occupations deemed essential such as the healthcare sector, construction, ICT, manufacturing, digital occupations and hospitality.

This event takes place in collaboration with Eurofound’s French Board Members and with its national correspondence in France.
