Ivailo Kalfin
Ivailo Kalfin började på Eurofound som verkställande direktör den 1 juni 2021. Maken Kalfin har sin expertis inom en rad olika områden, från dynamiken på arbetsmarknaden och socialpolitiken till globala politiska trender, EU och budgeten samt den digitala omvandlingen. Han har beskrivit fem huvudprioriteringar för sin roll vid Eurofound: att stödja integreringen av Europas gröna och digitala omställning; Komplettera genomförandet av handlingsplanen för den europeiska pelaren för sociala rättigheter med evidensbaserad forskning. Ökat samarbete med internationella organisationer och externa partner och ökad räckvidd till länder som omfattas av den europeiska grannskapspolitiken. Stöd till att förbättra och utvidga kapaciteten hos arbetsmarknadens parter inom byråns ansvarsområde. Att höja Eurofounds profil bland viktiga berörda parter.

2022 in review
The dawn of 2022 brought muted optimism to a Europe beginning to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the progress of vaccination programmes worldwide brought hope. Government and EU support during the pandemic had kept unemployment at bay, averting the widescale collapse of businesses. In step with the EU’s plans for the year, Eurofound’s focus was firmly on a post-pandemic Europe: the recovery and the twin transition to a green and digital economy. All this changed with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the start of a war of aggression. The EU and its institutions were compelled to respond rapidly.

Europe Day: Europe’s future hangs in the balance
Today is Europe Day, and one hundred young people from Ireland and Ukraine will be marking the event at Eurofound, in peaceful south Dublin. Europe Day has traditionally been seen as a celebration of peace and unity in Europe, but, unfortunately, it must be marked differently this year. Europe Day 2022 must rather reaffirm the values of Europe: human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, rule of law and human rights. These values are now being tested daily and must be rigorously defended for the future of Europe and the future of our young people.

Maria Jepsen är biträdande direktör vid Eurofound, utnämnd den 1 november 2019. Hon samordnar arbetsmiljöbyråns programutveckling. Dessförinnan var hon chef för forskningsavdelningen vid European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) och biträdande professor och forskarassistent vid Free University of Brussels (ULB). Hon är för närvarande också docent i arbetsmarknadsekonomi vid ULB och extern föreläsare vid College of Europe i Brygge, Belgien. Hennes huvudsakliga forskningsintressen inkluderar genusstudier, välfärdsstatens inverkan på arbetsutbud, löner och arbetsvillkor samt utvecklingen av den europeiska sociala dimensionen. Hon har varit medlem i olika kommittéer, råd och rådgivande kommittéer på nationell och internationell nivå för sysselsättnings-, social-, jämställdhets- och forskningsfrågor. Hon har också fungerat som samordnare i Europeiska kommissionens rådgivande trepartskommitté för hälsa och säkerhet på arbetsplatsen. Hon har en doktorsexamen i ekonomi och en magisterexamen i ekonometri från Free University of Brussels (ULB).

Anna Ludwinek
Liaison Manager - Brussels Liaison OfficeEurofound
Anna Ludwinek är sambandschef vid Eurofounds sambandskontor i Bryssel, där hon började 2019. Hennes ansvarsområden är främst inriktade på att samordna arbetet vid Brysselkontoret, inklusive relationen med Europeiska kommissionen, Europaparlamentet, rådet och tankesmedjor. Dessförinnan var Anna forskningschef på enheten Socialpolitik med ansvar för arbetet med social rörlighet och lika möjligheter mellan generationerna, ojämlikhet bland ungdomar och tillgång till sociala förmåner. Hennes tidigare arbete på Eurofound innebar att hon ledde ett europeiskt nätverk av städer för lokal integrationspolitik (CLIP) och arbetade med frågor som rörde mångfald, bostäder, interkulturell politik och etniskt företagande. Andra forskningsområden var återintegrering av långvarigt marginaliserade grupper på arbetsmarknaden och digitaliseringens inverkan på sociala tjänster. Anna har en masterexamen i statsvetenskap från Warszawas universitet och en kandidatexamen i internationella relationer och en masterexamen i tillämpad forskning i social vetenskap från Trinity College Dublin.
Robbie Stakelum
Brussels Liaison OfficerEurofound
Robbie Stakelum är sambandsman i Bryssel med ansvar för Europeiska ekonomiska och sociala kommittén, arbetsmarknadens parter och Europeiska kommissionen. Han har arbetat i Bryssel sedan 2014 med fokus på social- och sysselsättningspolitik.
