On 4 March 2025, this information session of the Social Protection Committee(opens in new tab)This link opens in a new tab (an advisory policy committee to the Ministers in the Employment and Social Affairs Council, or EPSCO) included a presentation by Eurofound on an ‘Effective policy package to fully activate the EU ageing workforce working longer’. On the second day of the meeting, 5 March, the European Commission presented the mid-term review of the European Pillar of Social Rights Action Plan(opens in new tab)This link opens in a new tab, and Massimiliano Mascherini, Head of Eurofound’s Social Policies research unit followed with a presentation on ‘Upward social convergence in Europe: Are we moving forward?’.
