Fir-rebbiegħa 2009, l-Eurofound nieda stħarriġ rappreżentattiv fuq skala kbira indirizzat lejn il-maniġers u r-rappreżentanti tal-ħaddiema. L-Istħarriġ Ewropew fost il-Kumpaniji 2009 - Prattiċi ta’ flessibilità u d-djalogu soċjali (ECS) huwa t-tieni stħarriġ dwar l-azjendi mal-Ewropa kollha mniedi minn Eurofound. L-Istħarriġ Ewropew fost il-Kumpaniji jiddokumenta strateġiji ta’ flessibilità ta’ ditti u huwa sors uniku ta’ informazzjoni komparattiva dwar id-djalogu soċjali fuq ilpost tax-xogħol. Riċerka preċedenti minn Eurofound uriet li l-kumpaniji jużaw prattiċi ta’ flessibilità differenti mhux f’iżolament iżda f’kombinazzjoni. L-istħarriġ studja miżuri differenti ta’ flessibilità kwantitattiva u kwalitattiva interna u esterna.
