Grange Open Day
European Commission DG SANTE’s Directorate F (Health and Food Safety) organised an Open Day on Saturday 2 September 2023, from 13:00-17:00 at their premises in Grange, Co. Meath, Ireland. The theme this year was sustainability.

Event background
Eurofound Executive Director Ivailo Kalfin presented an overview of the only EU Agency in Ireland, his address included key points from the Agency’s recent findings on Just transition, Green Deal and Bridging the urban-rural divide.
Other confirmed speakers included Commissioner Mairead McGuinness and Minister Thomas Burke TD, Tommy O’Reilly, Chair of Meath County Council as well as Teagasc.
DG SANTE’s Directorate F Open Day provided a family-friendly setting to have fun while learning about the work of the European Commission Ireland. Eurofound exhibited at the event, beside the European Commission, local organisations, and businesses as well as food and craft stalls, the latter selling their products.
