David Maddocks

David Maddocks is Accounting Officer at Eurofound since September 2009. In parallel, between June 2020 and October 2023, he was also appointed as the Accounting Officer for the newly created European Labour Authority in Bratislava. Prior to joining Eurofound, he worked as an auditor in the UK, then moved to OCCAR, an international defence organisation in Bonn, Germany, where he managed the treasury section before being appointed as the Finance and Accounting Officer. David began his civil service career in 1994, initially working for the VAT Directorate of the UK Revenue and Customs before transferring to the accounts department of the UK Ministry of Defence. In 1999, he began his international service when he was deployed on an operational tour of duty with the NATO stabilisation force in Croatia. He was subsequently awarded the NATO medal for Peace and Freedom in Former Yugoslavia.
