Quality of life in the Western Balkans and Türkiye in 2024

This factsheet presents findings from the Living and Working in the Western Balkans and Türkiye (LW-WBT) Survey, which was commissioned by Eurofound and conducted in autumn 2024. It provides a brief overview of four dimensions of quality of life in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Türkiye – health and well-being, overall life satisfaction, material living conditions and perceived quality of society. The analyses reveal significant disparities between different groups of people with regard to many of the indicators of quality of life. The results reinforce the importance of financial stability and the need for targeted policy responses to address inequality, reinforce social cohesion and improve living standards in the region.
