How is climate change impacting Europeans and how prepared are they? A new snapshot of Europe’s climate resilience reveals that most Europeans have already been directly affected by extreme weather and are highly concerned about future climate impacts, yet their preparedness remains limited.
A joint report by the European Environment Agency (EEA) and Eurofound, to be published on 4 February 2026, explores Europeans’ experience of climate-related impacts, concern about future impacts, and resilience actions taken by households and local authorities.
It highlights how climate resilience varies across regions and demographic groups, including populations that are particularly vulnerable. Importantly, the report provides the first Europe-wide overview of implemented climate resilience measures – both at the household and local authority level.
The report draws on data collected from the 2025 Eurofound Living and Working in the EU e-survey, which included over 27,000 respondents across EU-27 countries.

Dostarcza ilościową wiedzę specjalistyczną w wielu kwestiach, w tym spójności społecznej i zaufania, zmiany klimatu i jakości życia, konwergencji i zarządzania badaniami. Jego obecne badania koncentrują się na roli polaryzacji w spójności społecznej i zaufaniu oraz na społeczno-ekonomicznych wyzwaniach związanych z przejściem na gospodarkę neutralną pod względem emisji dwutlenku węgla. Uzyskał tytuł licencjata w dziedzinie socjologii i ekonomii na Alma Mater Studiorum w Bolonii we Włoszech oraz na Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen w Holandii. Ukończył studia magisterskie w zakresie komunikacji politycznej na Uniwersytecie w Amsterdamie, gdzie pracował również jako asystent dydaktyczny i badacz w dziedzinie psychologii politycznej.
