The European Restructuring Monitor allows you to monitor restructuring events, legislation and case studies relating to EU Member States.
Since 2002, the European Restructuring Monitor (ERM) has been monitoring the employment impact of large-scale restructuring events in Europe and covers the 27 EU Member States plus Norway. Over the years, the monitoring has been expanded from only collecting company restructuring cases to a compilation of datasets and tools that can help to understand restructuring in Europe.
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The table below shows only the most recently published restructuring events. For a full search, please navigate to the database directly.

Restructuring case studies provide more than 200 examples of how private sector and public sector employers anticipate and manage restructuring. Such restructuring can occur for many reasons and can take different forms, from business expansion to processes of digitalisation.
The case studies illustrate the planning and implementation processes of organisational change, as well as their outcomes. The aim is to inform governments, social partners, employers and others involved about how restructuring has been realised in European companies and what lessons can be learned from these experiences.
