Ivailo Kalfin
Ivailo Kalfin se incorporó a Eurofound como director ejecutivo el 1 de junio de 2021. La experiencia del Sr. Kalfin abarca una serie de áreas, desde la dinámica del mercado laboral y la política social hasta las tendencias políticas mundiales, la UE y el presupuesto, así como la transformación digital. Ha esbozado cinco prioridades principales para su papel en Eurofound: apoyar la integración de las transiciones ecológica y digital de Europa; complementar la aplicación del Plan de Acción del Pilar Europeo de Derechos Sociales con investigaciones basadas en pruebas; una mayor cooperación con organizaciones internacionales y socios externos y un mayor alcance a los países de la Política Europea de Vecindad; el apoyo a la mejora y ampliación de la capacidad de los interlocutores sociales en el ámbito de competencias de la Agencia; elevar el perfil de Eurofound entre las principales partes interesadas.

2022 in review
The dawn of 2022 brought muted optimism to a Europe beginning to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the progress of vaccination programmes worldwide brought hope. Government and EU support during the pandemic had kept unemployment at bay, averting the widescale collapse of businesses. In step with the EU’s plans for the year, Eurofound’s focus was firmly on a post-pandemic Europe: the recovery and the twin transition to a green and digital economy. All this changed with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the start of a war of aggression. The EU and its institutions were compelled to respond rapidly.

Europe Day: Europe’s future hangs in the balance
Today is Europe Day, and one hundred young people from Ireland and Ukraine will be marking the event at Eurofound, in peaceful south Dublin. Europe Day has traditionally been seen as a celebration of peace and unity in Europe, but, unfortunately, it must be marked differently this year. Europe Day 2022 must rather reaffirm the values of Europe: human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, rule of law and human rights. These values are now being tested daily and must be rigorously defended for the future of Europe and the future of our young people.

We need to study and understand the blow Europe’s youth have suffered from the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to adjust recovery and resilience measures to their needs: without prioritising young people in the present, we have little hope for the future.

Deputy DirectorEurofound
Maria Jepsen es directora adjunta de Eurofound, nombrada el 1 de noviembre de 2019. Coordina el desarrollo de programas de la Agencia. Anteriormente, fue directora del departamento de investigación del Instituto Sindical Europeo (ETUI) y profesora asistente e investigadora en la Universidad Libre de Bruselas (ULB). Actualmente también es profesora asociada de economía laboral en ULB y profesora externa en el Colegio de Europa en Brujas, Bélgica. Sus principales intereses de investigación incluyen los estudios de género, el impacto de los estados de bienestar en la oferta laboral, los salarios y las condiciones de trabajo, y el desarrollo de la dimensión social europea. La Sra. Jepsen ha sido miembro de varios comités, consejos y consejos consultivos a nivel nacional e internacional sobre cuestiones de empleo, sociales, de género e investigación. También ha sido coordinadora del comité consultivo tripartito de la Comisión Europea sobre salud y seguridad en el trabajo. Tiene un doctorado en Economía y una maestría en Econometría de la Universidad Libre de Bruselas (ULB).

Anna Ludwinek

Anna Ludwinek es la Directora de Enlace de la Oficina de Enlace de Eurofound en Bruselas, a la que se incorporó en 2019. Sus responsabilidades se centran principalmente en la coordinación del trabajo de la oficina de Bruselas, incluida la relación con la Comisión Europea, el Parlamento Europeo, el Consejo y los grupos de reflexión. Anteriormente, Anna fue directora de investigación en la unidad de Políticas Sociales con responsabilidad sobre el trabajo sobre movilidad social intergeneracional e igualdad de oportunidades, desigualdades juveniles y acceso a beneficios sociales. Su trabajo anterior en Eurofound consistió en la gestión de una red europea de ciudades para políticas de integración local (CLIP), trabajando en temas relacionados con la diversidad, la vivienda, las políticas interculturales y el emprendimiento étnico. Robbie Stakelum es el funcionario de enlace de Bruselas, responsable del Comité Económico y Social Europeo, los interlocutores sociales y la Comisión Europea. Trabaja en Bruselas desde 2014 con un enfoque en políticas sociales y de empleo.
