Antecedentes del evento

Under the banner of the EU Presidency of Belgium, the aim of this high-level conference is to reflect, with key European stakeholders, on the future social agenda of the European Union. Together, they aim to identify what are the remaining challenges in the domains of employment and social affairs and identify policy priorities for a next EU-legislature. The European Pillar of Social Rights will be the central framework for this reflection.

During the conference, six themes will be discussed:

  • AI and algorithmic management

  • Labour market policies and skills for a fair transition

  • A gender equal access to the labour market

  • Reflection on achieving the Porto targets

  • Access to social protection in a changing labour market

  • Social investment and the role of early childhood education and care

Eurofound’s Daniel Molinuevo, Research manager, Social policies research unit, is joining the debate and contributing to the Session 6 on Early childhood education and care: investing in children, for high social, education and economic returns.
