Ivailo Kalfin
Ivailo Kalfin aloitti Eurofoundin toimitusjohtajana 1. kesäkuuta 2021. Kalfinin asiantuntemus kattaa useita aloja työmarkkinoiden ja sosiaalipolitiikan dynamiikasta maailmanpoliittisiin trendeihin, EU:hun ja budjettiin sekä digitaaliseen muutokseen. Hän on määritellyt viisi keskeistä painopistettä tehtävälleen Eurofoundissa: Euroopan vihreän ja digitaalisen siirtymän valtavirtaistamisen tukeminen; Euroopan sosiaalisten oikeuksien pilaria koskevan toimintasuunnitelman täytäntöönpanon täydentäminen näyttöön perustuvalla tutkimuksella yhteistyön lisääminen kansainvälisten järjestöjen ja ulkoisten kumppaneiden kanssa ja laajempi yhteydenpito Euroopan naapuruuspolitiikan maihin; tuki työmarkkinaosapuolten valmiuksien parantamiselle ja laajentamiselle viraston toimivallan puitteissa; Eurofoundin profiilin nostaminen keskeisten sidosryhmien keskuudessa.

2022 in review
The dawn of 2022 brought muted optimism to a Europe beginning to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the progress of vaccination programmes worldwide brought hope. Government and EU support during the pandemic had kept unemployment at bay, averting the widescale collapse of businesses. In step with the EU’s plans for the year, Eurofound’s focus was firmly on a post-pandemic Europe: the recovery and the twin transition to a green and digital economy. All this changed with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the start of a war of aggression. The EU and its institutions were compelled to respond rapidly.

Europe Day: Europe’s future hangs in the balance
Today is Europe Day, and one hundred young people from Ireland and Ukraine will be marking the event at Eurofound, in peaceful south Dublin. Europe Day has traditionally been seen as a celebration of peace and unity in Europe, but, unfortunately, it must be marked differently this year. Europe Day 2022 must rather reaffirm the values of Europe: human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, rule of law and human rights. These values are now being tested daily and must be rigorously defended for the future of Europe and the future of our young people.

Recovering from this pandemic means rebuilding hope for the future
We need to study and understand the blow Europe’s youth have suffered from the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to adjust recovery and resilience measures to their needs: without prioritising young people in the present, we have little hope for the future.

Deputy DirectorEurofound
Maria Jepsen on Eurofoundin apulaisjohtaja, joka nimitettiin 1. marraskuuta 2019. Hän koordinoi viraston ohjelmakehitystä. Tätä ennen hän toimi Euroopan ammattiyhdistysinstituutin (ETUI) tutkimusosaston johtajana sekä Brysselin vapaan yliopiston (ULB) apulaisprofessorina ja tutkijana. Hän on tällä hetkellä myös työvoimatalouden apulaisprofessori ULB:ssä ja ulkopuolinen luennoitsija College of Europessa Bruggessa, Belgiassa. Hänen tärkeimpiä tutkimuskohteitaan ovat sukupuolentutkimus, hyvinvointivaltioiden vaikutus työvoiman tarjontaan, palkkoihin ja työoloihin sekä Euroopan sosiaalisen ulottuvuuden kehitys. Jepsen on ollut jäsenenä useissa työllisyyteen, sosiaali-, tasa-arvo- ja tutkimuskysymyksiin liittyvissä kansallisissa ja kansainvälisissä komiteoissa, neuvostoissa ja neuvoa-antavissa lautakunnissa. Hän on toiminut myös koordinaattorina Euroopan komission kolmikantaisessa työterveyttä ja -turvallisuutta käsittelevässä neuvoa-antavassa komiteassa. Hänellä on taloustieteen tohtorin tutkinto ja ekonometrian maisterin tutkinto Brysselin vapaasta yliopistosta (ULB).

Anna Ludwinek on yhteyspäällikkö Eurofoundin Brysselin yhteystoimistossa, johon hän liittyi vuonna 2019. Hänen vastuualueensa keskittyy ensisijaisesti Brysselin toimiston työn koordinointiin, mukaan lukien suhteet Euroopan komissioon, Euroopan parlamenttiin, neuvostoon ja ajatushautomoihin. Tätä ennen Anna toimi tutkimuspäällikkönä sosiaalipolitiikan yksikössä vastuualueenaan sukupolvien välinen sosiaalinen liikkuvuus ja yhtäläiset mahdollisuudet, nuorten eriarvoisuus ja sosiaalietuuksien saatavuus. Annalla on valtiotieteen maisterin tutkinto Varsovan yliopistosta ja kansainvälisten suhteiden kandidaatin tutkinto ja soveltavan sosiaalisen tutkimuksen maisterin tutkinto Dublinin Trinity Collegesta.

Brussels Liaison OfficerEurofound
Robbie Stakelum on Brysselin yhteyshenkilö, joka vastaa Euroopan talous- ja sosiaalikomiteasta, työmarkkinaosapuolista ja Euroopan komissiosta. Hän on työskennellyt Brysselissä vuodesta 2014 lähtien keskittyen sosiaali- ja työllisyyspolitiikkaan.
