Europese regels voor gegevensbescherming draaien helemaal om het versterken van mensen, zodat ze controle krijgen over hoe hun persoonlijke gegevens worden gebruikt. Bij Eurofound nemen we deze verplichting serieus. Gegevensbescherming en privacy zijn verweven in ons dagelijks werk, van onze communicatieactiviteiten tot onze Europese enquêtes en onderzoekspublicaties.
Op deze pagina vindt u informatie over de redenen waarom wij persoonsgegevens mogen verwerken en welke soorten gegevens we verwerken, evenals over uw rechten en contactgegevens als u vragen heeft.
Eurofound kan uw persoonlijke gegevens (ook wel persoonlijke informatie genoemd) om verschillende redenen verwerken: van het afhandelen van openbare verzoeken om informatie, bezoekersinformatie, het afhandelen van klachten, het uitnodigen van u voor een vergadering of een van onze onderzoeksprojecten, of simpelweg omdat u deze indient bij het abonneren op publicaties of evenementen op onze website. Ongeacht de reden wordt de verwerking altijd uitgevoerd in overeenstemming met Verordening (EU) 2018/1725 van het Europees Parlement en de Raad van 23 oktober 2018(opens in new tab)This link opens in a new tab.
Alle doeleinden van verwerking zijn te vinden in ons Register voor gegevensbescherming hieronder, of in onze kennisgevingen over gegevensbescherming. Beide worden regelmatig bijgewerkt, dus we raden u aan ze periodiek te raadplegen.
De soorten persoonsgegevens hangen af van het doel van de verwerking. Deze kunnen uw naam en contactgegevens, uw cv en eventuele certificeringsdocumenten (bij het solliciteren naar een baan of stage), uw dieet- en mobiliteitsbehoeften (bij deelname aan een evenement georganiseerd door Eurofound) of de acceptatie van cookies bevatten.
De exacte categorieën persoonsgegevens worden vastgesteld in de toepasselijke gegevensbeschermingsverklaring.
In de meeste gevallen verwerkt Eurofound uw persoonsgegevens voor de uitvoering van een taak die in het algemeen belang wordt uitgevoerd, om te voldoen aan een wettelijke verplichting, of op basis van uw toestemming. Andere juridische gronden kunnen echter van toepassing zijn. Gedetailleerde informatie over de juridische basis wordt altijd verstrekt in de toepasselijke Gegevensbeschermingsverklaring.
Tenzij anders vermeld in een specifieke Gegevensbeschermingsverklaring, wordt toegang tot uw persoonsgegevens exclusief gegeven aan onze medewerkers, die moeten voldoen aan wettelijke vertrouwelijkheidsverplichtingen.
Voor elke verwerkingsoperatie is er een gedefinieerde bewaartermijn die aangeeft gedurende welke periode uw persoonlijke gegevens worden bewaard. Afhankelijk van de verwerkingsoperatie kan de bewaartijd variëren. De exacte bewaartermijn wordt gespecificeerd in de toepasselijke gegevensbeschermingsmelding.
Verordening (EU) 2018/1725 geeft u als gegevenssubject de mogelijkheid om de volgende rechten uit te oefenen:
Weet wanneer je persoonlijke gegevens worden verwerkt
Toegang tot uw persoonlijke gegevens
Heb een kopie van je persoonlijke gegevens
corrigeer uw persoonlijke gegevens als deze onjuist of onvolledig zijn
Laat je gegevens verwijderen
Beperk de verwerking van je gegevens
Bezwaar tegen de verwerking van uw gegevens
port je gegevens, en
niet onderworpen zijn aan geautomatiseerde beslissingen (d.w.z. uitsluitend door machines genomen) die jou raken.
De uitoefening van deze rechten is gratis. Wanneer verzoeken echter duidelijk ongegrond of buitensporig zijn, kan Eurofound weigeren op het verzoek te reageren. Als dit het geval is, wordt u dienovereenkomstig geïnformeerd.
Om een van deze rechten uit te oefenen, kunt u uw verzoek per e-mail of post sturen in een verzegelde envelop. Zie contacten hieronder. Je moet in je verzoek duidelijk maken welk recht je uitoefent.
U moet ook een kopie van een identiteitsbewijs overleggen, bijvoorbeeld een identiteitskaart of paspoort. De volgende gegevens moeten zichtbaar zijn: naam, identificatienummer, uitgifteland, geldigheidsduur en geboortedatum. Alle andere gegevens (bijv. foto of handtekening) kunnen worden zwartgemaakt. We zullen deze gegevens uitsluitend gebruiken om uw identiteit te verifiëren. Zodra uw verzoek is afgehandeld, zullen wij het document veilig vernietigen. In principe accepteren wij geen andere vormen van bewijs van uw identiteit. Als u alternatieven wilt voorstellen, beoordelen wij de geschiktheid ervan per geval.
Naast de hierboven genoemde rechten kunt u ook een klacht indienen bij de EDPS, onze toezichthoudende autoriteit, als u vindt dat Eurofound de bepalingen van Verordening (EU) 2018/1725 heeft geschonden bij het verwerken van uw persoonsgegevens. De Data Protection Officer (DPO) van Eurofound kan, op verzoek van een individu, zaken en gebeurtenissen onderzoeken die direct verband houden met zijn/haar taken. Mocht u van deze gelegenheid gebruik willen maken, stuur dan alstublieft uw verzoek om een onderzoek naar DataProtectionOfficer@eurofound.europa.eu.
De DPO zal binnen 15 werkdagen een ontvangstbevestiging sturen en verifiëren of het verzoek onder de verantwoordelijkheid van de DPO valt en of het als vertrouwelijk wordt behandeld.
De DPO zal uiterlijk drie maanden na ontvangst van het verzoek verslag terugbrengen aan de persoon die het onderzoek heeft ingesteld, tenzij in het geval van duidelijk misbruik van dit recht, in welk geval er geen rapport zal worden gedaan. Deze deadline kan echter worden opgeschort totdat de DPO de noodzakelijke informatie heeft verkregen om het onderzoek af te ronden.
