Ivailo Kalfin
Ivailo Kalfin è entrato a far parte di Eurofound in qualità di direttore esecutivo il 1º giugno 2021. Le competenze di Kalfin coprono una vasta gamma di settori, dalle dinamiche del mercato del lavoro e della politica sociale alle tendenze politiche globali, all'UE e al bilancio, nonché alla trasformazione digitale. Ha delineato cinque priorità principali per il suo ruolo in Eurofound: sostenere l'integrazione delle transizioni verde e digitale in Europa; integrare l'attuazione del piano d'azione sul pilastro europeo dei diritti sociali con una ricerca basata su dati concreti; una maggiore cooperazione con le organizzazioni internazionali e i partner esterni e una maggiore sensibilizzazione dei paesi della politica europea di vicinato; sostegno al rafforzamento e all'ampliamento delle capacità delle parti sociali nell'ambito delle competenze dell'Agenzia; migliorare la visibilità di Eurofound tra i principali portatori di interessi.

2022 in review
The dawn of 2022 brought muted optimism to a Europe beginning to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the progress of vaccination programmes worldwide brought hope. Government and EU support during the pandemic had kept unemployment at bay, averting the widescale collapse of businesses. In step with the EU’s plans for the year, Eurofound’s focus was firmly on a post-pandemic Europe: the recovery and the twin transition to a green and digital economy. All this changed with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the start of a war of aggression. The EU and its institutions were compelled to respond rapidly.

Europe Day: Europe’s future hangs in the balance
Today is Europe Day, and one hundred young people from Ireland and Ukraine will be marking the event at Eurofound, in peaceful south Dublin. Europe Day has traditionally been seen as a celebration of peace and unity in Europe, but, unfortunately, it must be marked differently this year. Europe Day 2022 must rather reaffirm the values of Europe: human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, rule of law and human rights. These values are now being tested daily and must be rigorously defended for the future of Europe and the future of our young people.

Recovering from this pandemic means rebuilding hope for the future
We need to study and understand the blow Europe’s youth have suffered from the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to adjust recovery and resilience measures to their needs: without prioritising young people in the present, we have little hope for the future.

Maria Jepsen è vicedirettrice di Eurofound, nominata il 1° novembre 2019. Coordina lo sviluppo del programma dell'Agenzia. In precedenza, è stata direttrice del dipartimento di ricerca presso l'Istituto sindacale europeo (ETUI) e assistente e ricercatrice presso la Libera Università di Bruxelles (ULB). Attualmente è anche professore associato di economia del lavoro presso l'ULB e docente esterno presso il Collegio d'Europa di Bruges, in Belgio. I suoi principali interessi di ricerca includono gli studi di genere, l'impatto dello stato sociale sull'offerta di lavoro, sui salari e sulle condizioni di lavoro e lo sviluppo della dimensione sociale europea. È stata membro di vari comitati, consigli e comitati consultivi a livello nazionale e internazionale su questioni relative all'occupazione, sociali, di genere e alla ricerca. È stata anche coordinatrice del comitato consultivo tripartito della Commissione europea per la salute e la sicurezza sul lavoro. Ha conseguito un dottorato di ricerca in Economia e un Master in Econometria presso la Libera Università di Bruxelles (ULB).

Anna Ludwinek

Anna Ludwinek è la responsabile dei rapporti presso l'Ufficio di collegamento di Eurofound a Bruxelles, di cui è entrata a far parte nel 2019. Le sue responsabilità si concentrano principalmente sul coordinamento del lavoro dell'ufficio di Bruxelles, compresi i rapporti con la Commissione europea, il Parlamento europeo, il Consiglio e i gruppi di riflessione. In precedenza, Anna è stata responsabile della ricerca presso l'unità Politiche sociali con responsabilità per il lavoro sulla mobilità sociale intergenerazionale e le pari opportunità, le disuguaglianze giovanili e l'accesso alle prestazioni sociali. In precedenza, ha lavorato presso Eurofound per la gestione di una rete europea di città per le politiche di integrazione locale (CLIP), lavorando su questioni relative alla diversità, all'alloggio, alle politiche interculturali e all'imprenditorialità etnica. Altre aree di ricerca hanno riguardato il reinserimento nel mercato del lavoro di gruppi esclusi a lungo termine e l'impatto della digitalizzazione sui servizi sociali. Anna ha conseguito un Master in Scienze Politiche presso l'Università di Varsavia e una laurea in Relazioni Internazionali e un Master in Ricerca Applicata Sociale presso il Trinity College di Dublino.

Brussels Liaison OfficerEurofound
Robbie Stakelum è il funzionario di collegamento di Bruxelles, responsabile per il Comitato economico e sociale europeo, le parti sociali e la Commissione europea. Lavora a Bruxelles dal 2014 con particolare attenzione alle politiche sociali e occupazionali.
